President Duterte Wants To Explain To Mabilog.s Alleged Involvement On Illegal Drugs To Senator Drilon
President Rodrigo Duterte wanted to explain to Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog’s alleged involvement in illegal drugs to Senator Drilon.
On Friday (September 29, 2017), Mr. Duterte said that wants to discuss to Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon regarding alleged the involvement of Mabilog to the problem of illegal drugs in the Philippines. Mabilog is the second cousin of the lawmaker.
The president also wanted to invite the incumbent lawmaker to join both police and military in a briefing because he is complaining about the EJK incidents in the country.
“Gusto kong sabihin sa kanya ‘yung totoo. I would like to invite him to join the police and military in a briefing. Dito tayo mag-usap. Kasi nagko-complain na siya rin ng extrajudicial killing,” said by Duterte quoted by Manila Bulletin.
Mr. Duterte would like to explain to the lawmaker that the illegal drug trade is an organized crime, which involves an act of conspiracy just to make it successful.
Duterte’s statement came after Drilon expressed his concern about Extrajudicial Killing (EJK) linked to the anti-illegal drug campaign, especially on the plan to assign Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido as the chief of police in Iloilo City.
Espenido was the police officer who led the operation that leads to the death of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog and 14 others.
The assignment of Espenido in Iloilo City, which was dubbed as the most shabulized city in the Philippines raised the concern of Senator Drilon over’s Duterte remarks whether Mabilog will live or die.
