Salvador Panelo Says Inday Sara Duterte Could Be The Next President of the Philippines
Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio could be the next president as she has the traits of her father, Salvador Panelo says.
On Wednesday (September 27, 2017), Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo said that Inday Sara has the traits of her father as she was commonly called in Davao City.
Panelo said that Carpio was also a lawyer and explained much stricter compared to her father President Rodrigo Duterte, so he thinks that the presidential daughter could be the next Philippine president.
“Pwede siyang maging presidente, kung ako ang tatanungin mo. Pareho ng ugali ng tatay niya e. Mas matindi pa nga e,” said by Panelo quoted by Inquirer.
President Duterte has also mentioned in his speech in Davao City that he finds her daughter as a better successor for the country’s highest position. He also describes Sara as a strong woman and not a “bigot”.
Previously, Carpio has junked the P49-billion reclamation project of the Mega Harbour Port Development Inc. because of its possible negative effects on the environment.
The Chief Presidential Legal Counsel explained that Inday Sara never dreamed to be a politician. She was only forced to run as city mayor because Rody would oy run as president if Davao would not be under the care of her daughter.
