GMA Reporter Jam Sisante Receives Death Threat After Reporting The Singapore Trip Of Senator Trillanes
The GMA News reporter Jam Sisante received a death threat after covering the trip of Senator Trillanes in Singapore to debunk alleged offshore bank accounts.
The trip of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to Singapore becomes one of the most discussed topics today because of allegedly having offshore bank accounts containing a huge amount of cash.
The lawmakers flew to Singapore to visit a branch of DBS Bank to debunk the allegation of President Rodrigo Duterte for having foreign bank accounts to hide his alleged ill-gotten wealth.
Recently, Ryan Edward Chua reposted the post of Ivan Mayrina saying that his colleague Jam Sisante, a Senate reporter of GMA News has received a death threat after reporting the trip of Trillanes in Singapore.
Sisante allegedly received the threat after her report about the incumbent lawmaker was aired on the news program “24 Oras” on Tuesday (September 19, 2017). She reported the news about the non-existence of Trillanes’ alleged bank account in Singapore.
Mayrina narrated the threat received by Sisante via text message “Magkano daw ba ang binayad sa kanya? Ingat daw siya at baka matagpuan na lang siya na nakasilid sa sako.”
Ivan expressed has defended his colleague saying that Jam was only doing her job as a reporter. He also said that if the report of the journalist doesn’t fit with the politician’s opinion, it was still not a valid reason to threaten their lives.
