Around 200 Policemen Face Dismissal Over Allegedly Cheating On Entrance Exam

More Than 200 Policemen Face Dismissal From Service Over Alleged Dishonesty During PNP Entrance Examination

Around 200 policemen face dismissal from service over allegedly cheating during the entrance examinations for the Philippine National Police (PNP).

On Sunday (September 17, 2017), the National Police Commission (Napolcom) Vice Chairman Atty. Rogelio Casurao said that the agency has discovered a statistical improbability on the same correct and wrong answers of more than 200 policemen.

Napolcom has already issued a Memorandum Circular voiding the eligibility of the police officers involved in the alleged dishonesty during the entrance examinations.

Casurao also said that there are also policemen who will face dismissal for falsifying documents required to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP). The lawyer also explained that some of the cops were already serving PNP for already 10 to 15 years.

“Ngayon ang dami naming nahuhuli na after serving the PNP for 10 years, 15 years, nadidiskubre namin na after all, lahat pala ng papeles na isinubmit ay mga peke,” said by Casurao.

The Napolcom Vice Chairman was also pushing for neurological tests, periodic audit, and retraining for cops to ensure that they are physically, emotionally, and mentally fit on the job tasked to them.

Previously, PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa has already said that there are anomalous acts on the training of aspiring policemen, which might be one of the reasons why cops were getting corrupt.
