“Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” is one of the blockbuster movies of 2005, which garnered numerous awards and commendations from the different film festival and award committees. It also made the rounds of international film festivals.
The movie revolves about a Filipino gay teen who was torn between his love for a young policeman and his loyalty to his family.
The role of Maximo Oliveros or known as Maxi was played by the iconic actor Nathan Lopez, which was released for about 12 years ago. Lopez has boundaries in playing gay roles and boy, where everyone is pressured.
The iconic actor was only 14-year-old upon playing the role of Maxi, which will be always on the top of the list. Lopez has now turned into a dashing man, 12 years after releasing the blockbuster movie.
Lopez has also played a short role on “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and the teleserye “Be Careful With My Heart”. Due to his iconic role on “Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros” every single role offered to him is gay.
The actor admitted that he is not a gay and said that he remains professional as an artist because “work is work”.
