Class Suspension on September 13 Due to Tropical Storm Maring (Updated List)

Several local government units (LGUs) and schools in the country declared the suspension of classes on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, due to Tropical Storm Maring.

 

Here’s the full list of local government units where classes were suspended according to The Summit Express:

METRO MANILA

  • Batangas  – preschool to senior high school, public and private
  • Cavite – all levels, public and private
  • Laguna – all levels, public and private
  • Marilao, Bulacan – all levels, public and private
  • Morong, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Quezon Province – preschool to senior high school, public and private
  • Angono, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Baras, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Binangonan, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Cainta, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Pililla, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Taytay, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Teresa, Rizal – all levels, public and private
  • Meycauayan, Bulacan – all levels, public and private
  • Guagua, Pampanga – all levels, public and private

SCHOOL

Meanwhile, based on the latest advisory issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, Tropical Storm Maring has slightly intensified.

Maring was spotted at 370 km West of Iba, Zambales (14.8 °N, 116.6 °E), transversing with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

Maring is forecast to move West Northwest at 18 kph and it is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this late afternoon or evening.
