AI-AI DELAS ALAS – The Kapuso comedian and artist Ai-Ai delas Alas shared and revealed two of her most unforgettable experiences in Manaoag Church.

Ai-Ai delas Alas is indeed one of those artists of whom people knew to be really religious.

And recently, she just fulfilled her annual vow as a Marian devotee.

On September 8 is the date where people celebrates Mama Mary’s birthday and this year she celebrated it with a mass and an intimate gathering together with her family and some of her friends.

On a report from the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep) is where the Kapuso shared the two of the most stirring experiences she had in the said church.

She revealed first that she is a devotee of the Mother of Perpetual in Baclaran.

Ai-Ai shared that when she faced a certain problem with her previous husband, she found refuge and comfort in Mama Mary.

She confessed, “Sabi ko, ‘Mama Mary, ang sakit-sakit. Hindi ko alam kung paano mo gagawin pero kung naririnig mo ako, yakapin mo naman ako para meron naman ako karamay.’ Iyak ako nang iyak tapos nangumunyon ako, niyakap ako ng pari. Hindi ko naman kilala yung pari. Sabi niya, ‘I love you Ai.’ Kinilabutan ako. Hindi ko naman kilala yung pari sa Manaoag. Tapos, hinimas niya ang likod ko. Diyos ko!”

Then, the second incident is when she wanted to pray but she arrived at the religious establishment night time. So, naturally, the church is close by that time.

But this had happened.

She narrated, “Mga 8 or 9 pm ‘yon. Sabi ko, maglalakad na lang ako at sa harap na lang ako ng gate magdarasal. Habang naglalakad ako, may kasabay ako na lalake. Natakot ako. Sabi ko, ‘Diyos ko, bakit parang sumasabay siya sa akin?’ kaya umurong ako nang konti.

“Mabagal siya maglakad, tinitingnan niya ako. Tapos, huminto siya sa gate. Sabi niya, ‘Halika ka, pasok ka. Ako ang pari dito.’ Mag-isa lang ako sa loob ng simbahan na nagdarasal kasi binuksan ng pari. E, ang ine-expect ko, magdarasal na lang ako sa labas dahil sarado na nga ang Manaoag Church,” she said.
