Ricky Kim shares love story.
RICKY KIM – The Korean star Ricky Kim from the famous TaeTae family shares how his love story beautifully bloomed in the Philippines.
According to a report from The Philippine Star, it was on 2009 when the wedding of Korean actor Ricky Kim and theater actress Ryu Seung Joo broke the news and showbiz insiders even thought that such move was a “career suicide”.
But they proved that it was not a career suicide at all for the incomparable happiness brought by the love of him and his wife for each other and the glee when their three children came.
The actor had believed other wise. In an interview with him with the PhilStar, he actually said, “In Korea, most Korean stars usually hide the fact that they have wives and children. Dating scandals are big issues. It’s a golden rule. But it’s not mine. What I did was the opposite. I married young. I had kids. I don’t regret it. I always believe in being real and transparent.”
He then shared that he met his wife while doing a volunteer work in an international non-government organization here in the Philippines, the Compassion.
That was way back 2007 and after two years, they eventually got married.
After the marriage, they received a blessing that every married couple loved to have, a child.
Their first born is Tae-rin (also known as Taylor), next is Tae-oh (Asher William) born on 2013, and their youngest child, Tae-ra (Ellysen Victoria) was born in 2015.
TaeTae family is what people fondly called them. This came after they showed how their domestic life goes in a Korean variety show, Oh, My Baby!
Because of their comical and funny antics, they were able to catch a global admiration.
Even though the show had already ended, their popularity remained.
“Fatherhood has made me more responsible, more patient, and more adventurous. It made life better. I would always choose life over work. Every day is one day, and you have to be happy. You have to fight for happiness. You have to try hard. It is not easy,” Ricky said.
