Farmer’s Child Romnick Blanco Receives Full Scholarship From Harvard University
A farmer’s child in Bulacan receives a full scholarship from Harvard University as one of the beneficiaries of scholarships at International School Manila.
Romnick Blanco, a son of a rice and vegetable farmer and 7th out of 9 children was able to receive a great opportunity to study at Harvard University in Massachusetts, one of the most prestigious schools in the world.
The kid from the foothills of Sierra Madre Mountains started with humble beginnings by crossing a bridgeless river and enduring hardships along the way just to finish English and Computer-Literacy in the learning center of Green Earth Heritage Foundation.
Blanco was chosen to be a scholar and finished his high school at the International School Manila last May 26, 2017. He started it with a dream and many prayers, which was followed by hard work, patience, love, and perseverance.
The Lord blessed Romnick and lifted him higher for passing four full-ride scholarships in Harvard College, the King Scholarship of Dartmouth College, the Freeman-Asian Scholarship of Wesleyan University and New York University-Abu Dhabi.
The latter will have a full scholarship to Harvard covering tuition, accommodation, plane tickets, and clothing.
