MMA Conor McGregor Vows To Destroy The Undefeated Mayweather
The MMA fighter Conor McGregor has vowed to destroy his opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their upcoming match on August 27, 2017.
On Wednesday (August 23, 2017), the mixed martial artist Conor McGregor and the undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. have faced off ahead of their most anticipated boxing match, which could become the richest fight in the history.
The two fighters face peacefully and respectfully towards each other as they look ahead on their 12-round boxing duel at the T-Mobile Arena, unlike their feud during the global press tour last months.
The undefeated boxer who throws expletive words against McGregor last month has refrained from predicting his victory, while the MMA fighter also refrains from verbally abusing to beat Mayweather.
The 29-year-old McGregor will have his first ever professional boxing match against the undefeated boxing icon. He also said that he was ready to fight and beat whoever was in front of him and concluded that Mayweather wouldn’t last even two rounds.
“We are prepared for 12 three-minute rounds of non-stop pace. We are prepared, I will put pressure on him and break this old man. Trust me on that. I don’t see him lasting two rounds. I feel I have the decision to end it inside one,” said by McGregor quoted by GMA.
The 40-year-old Mayweather was relaxed throughout the faceoff and praised McGregor as a tough competitor and a great fighter. But the undefeated boxer warned the UFC champion saying “After 21 years I’ve been hit with everything and I’m still right here.”
Showtime Sports television executive Stephen Espinoza said that the McGregor-Mayweather match could be the most widely distributed pay per view in the sport’s history. Espinoza said that Mayweather could earn up to $200 million, while McGregor could earn $100 million.
