Senator Sherwin Gatchalian was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, August 23, after experiencing dizziness.
The 43-year-old senator is now doing fine according to a statement released by one of his staff in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
The youngest lawmaker reportedly felt dizzy and weak and was rushed to the Makati Medical Center before the Senate session at 3 p.m.
The staff claimed that Gatchalian just experienced “exhaustion”, noting that senator-businessman is a “very healthy” person.
In a report by GMA News Online, Ahna Mejia, the media relations officer of Senator Sherwin Gatchalian said, “Maayos ang kundisyon ni Sen. Gatchalian. Nahilo lang kaya magpapatingin sa family doctor sa Makati Med.”
Earlier, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian attended the budget hearings of Department of Energy and other agencies on Senate finance committee.
It was in 2016 when Gatchalian was elected as a senator.
But before attending to his current post, he was a representative and also became a mayor of Valenzuela.
Meanwhile, in the Senate Session No. 13 dated today August 23, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson bared during his privileged speech that Nicanor Faeldon received P100 million as “pasalubong,” or welcome gift, after assuming his post as the commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
