Vice Ganda Finally Speaks up About Controversial GMA-7 Slogan Joke

Vice Ganda finally speak up about his controversial joke over the slogan of GMA-7.

Just recently, the 41-year-old comedian made a buzz online earlier over his joke about Kapuso Network’s slogan.

Vice Ganda has been the target of criticism over his remark during “Miss Q and A” segment of It’s Showtime wherein he told a contestant; “Kung sinasabing ang GMA ay ‘Where you belong,’ ba’t sila naglilipatan?”

The It’s Showtime mainstay was referring to Kapuso stars transferring to ABS-CBN.

According to Vice Ganda, Filipinos are fond of “shady comments.”

“Naku, gustung-gusto naman ng mga tao ‘yan,” Vice Ganda said in an interview with PEP.ph.

“‘Yang mga shady comments, gustung-gusto nila ‘yan,” he added.

Meanwhile, GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth G. Rasonable has reacted on Vice’s remark about their slogan.

“Ah, yeah, it was a joke so everybody is free to make their jokes. That’s his joke. Wala naman kasi kasi I don’t think we should react to it. Kasi nga, it was said out of fun, yun ang gusto niyang gawin, yun ang style nya, okay lang naman,” the Kapuso higher executive said.”

Kapuso comedian Michael V. also aired his side on the recent issue.

“Ang hirap naman din kasi sa social media, parang lahat nagiging critic, lahat nagiging authority. Lahat nabibigyan ng karapatan na magsalita,” he said.

“Pero Vice Ganda is Vice Ganda rin naman. Na nakilala natin siya sa ganung style, hindi natin maiiwasang…”

“Hindi natin siya mapipigilan kung gusto niyang magsalita ng ganun, kasi may karapatan din naman siya to express, kung papa’no yung style niya ng pagpapatawa,” he added.
