McGregor To Knockout Mayweather In Just 2 Rounds

The mixed martial artist Conor McGregor believes that he can knock out the undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather in just 2 rounds.

On Wednesday (August 16, 2017), the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star McGregor said that he switched to lighter gloves, which could have a surprising result on his upcoming match against Mayweather this coming August 26, 2017, in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old fighter was considered as the underdog against the undefeated boxing champion. Conor also predicted that he could finish the fight in early rounds, but hopes that the fight would so she can show his fighting skills.

“Particularly with the eight-ounce gloves, I don’t believe he makes it out of the second round. I don’t want people saying ‘Oh, it was a lucky punch’ and all that. Part of me is hoping maybe he can last so I can show some skill and dismantle him that way,” said by McGregor quoted by ABS-CBN.

The UFC champion said that he is now ready and prepared to face Mayweather for a 12-round match. However, the mixed martial artist revealed that he did not see the undefeated boxer to absorb his blows in the first few rounds.

Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship also believes that McGregor’s gloves switch could shape the result of the most anticipated match between the two legendary fighters.

White also said that the gloves change can be beneficial for the both fighters and said that it would make Mayweather’s hands move faster, while the change can strengthen the blows of McGregor.
