Davao Mayor Sara Duterte Believe That Paolo Duterte Innocence Is Innocent Against Accusations

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio believes that his brother, Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte is innocent against all the accusations being thrown at him.

On Monday evening (August 14, 2017), Inday Sara stands by his brother Paolo amid the allegations linking him into the controversial P6.4 billion shipment of the illegal substance. The Davao City mayor made the statement during the opening of Kadayawan festival.

Carpio also said that the critics of her brother should directly ask Paolo Duterte regarding the issue of his alleged involvement in Customs mess. She also emphasized that it would be better if her brother could also give his side.

“I believe hindi totoo yung mga sinasabi, kasi kung totoo yun, meron talaga silang ebidensya at di nila sasabihin na narinig lang. Mas maganda siguro kung siya ang tanungin niyo, para masagot niya yung mga tanong at mabigay ang side niya sa istorya,” said by Inday Sara quoted by ABS-CBN.

Paolo Duterte and the Filipino-Chinese Businessman Kenneth Dong was accused of performing wrong practices in the Bureau of Customs (BOC), according to the investigation private broker Mark Taguba at the House of the Representatives.

Taguba described Kenneth Dong as the middleman of Richard Tan, a Chinese Businessman based in Hong Fei, China, consolidated the items to be shipped going to Manila.

The viral photos of the presidential son and Dong together prompted the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte to think that his son is involved in illegal activities.

Previously, President Duterte has pledged to step down from the country’s highest position if it will be proven that one of his children is involved in illegal activities.
