Construction $300-M Shipbuilding Facility In Hinobaan, Negros Occidental To Be Built By Japanese Company
A Japanese company will start to construct the $300 million shipbuilding facility in Hinobaan, Negros Occidental next year.

The agreement was signed by Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. and executives of Tsuneishi Heavy Industries. The ship was set to recycle and reuse facilities. The approval of the ordinance establishing SNIE on the lots to be expropriated that will cover about 285 hectares has been already asked Mr. Marañon.
The defunct Insular Lumber Company (ILCO) and several other private lots in Hinobaan have been expropriated by the Negros Occidental provincial government. A hearing this week to discuss the proposed creation of the SNIE will be held by the board committee.
