Gary Alejano Slams Duterte For Wearing Military Uniform

Gary Alejano of Magdalo Group has slammed President Rodrigo Duterte and described him lousy for wearing a combat uniform.

Previously, the photos of President Duterte wearing a full combat uniform goes viral after it was posted in the social media, Unfortunately, some critic of the president criticized him due to the improper wearing of a military uniform.

Gary Alejano of the Magdalo Party has compared the photo of Mr. Duterte and Indonesia’s Widodo attempting to embarrass the president on his manner in wearing the military uniform. He also said that Duterte’s manner of wearing the combat uniform reflects on the state of the Philippine military organization.

Alejano explained that there are proper ways and procedures in wearing the military uniform. He also discussed that the AFP has a manual, which instructs users on how to properly place the awards and decorations.

The Magdalo representative also suggests the military advisers of President Duterte to take note of how combat uniforms are worn. He also even called President Duterte as “Bugoy” upon wearing the combat uniform.

Mocha Uson Blog: “Nag-iingay yan dahil mukhang tatakbong senador yan. Sa tingin po ba ninyo ay may maloloko pa yan?”

Tom Fabella: “ This may be true if a soldier is in a garrison, but in the battlefield which I doubt if Rep Alejano himself has personal combat experience, this norm is no longer followed a classic example is our elite Scout Rangers and Special Forces these elite forces has the liberty to grow their hair and mustache in the field which you can not do in a Garrison duty where all uniforms must be in its finest and shiniest in short snappy President Widodo is in a Parade not in a combat area while Pres Duterte is in a combat zone hence whatever his attire that is comfortable to him is justified, A soldier does not wear his medals in combat, If you are a medal of Valor awardee will you wear it in Marawi while fighting the Maute/ISIS/Abu Sayyaf, Instead of finding fault to our Presidents actions why not join him in neutralizing this threat after all he is probably the only President that went all the way to the battlefield to oversee his forces this alone is commendable to me as a former soldier.”

Henry Bernardino: “ Superficial lang naman halos lahat ng banat ng dilaw. Puro “good looks” at “presidential” ang alam, parang nung si Abnoy ang presidente, puro porma pero walang substance. Iba si Digong. Wala syang pakialam how he looks or what is said of him. Ang magsilbi sa bayan at magtrabaho ng marangal at may paninindigan ang importante sa kanya. Substance over form.”

  1. Allow me to say that I greatly abhor Alejano, Trillianes, Magdalo Group , et al .
These individuals have made a pact with the devil to malign/unseat/eliminate the President at all costs, even as he earns the public’s trust while doing a fine job in governing the nation.

Nevertheless, the given critique has it’s merits.

A military uniform is more than a piece of cloth sewn together.
It carries with it the proud history and tradition of soldiers who have sworn to defend the country against the enemy_even laying down their lives, if necessary, in the course of performing their patriotic duty.
Regrettably, PresidentDuterte’s conduct seemed oblivious these important tenets.

I felt so disturbed upon seeing the photograph released by the media.
The image of the Commander-In-Chief wearing an AFP combat uniform with unbuttoned collar/baseball cap/rolled sleeves, rendered even worse with the unsightly appearance of his bulging torso leading the way, made me think that Mr. Duterte may have worn that uniform improperly_if not irreverently.

I am also inclined to say that I was not at all impressed by the President’s appearance upon his evening arrival at the CLK-HK wearing that ubiquitous white sportshirt emblazoned with vulgar D30 graphics cum Philippine flags.
A not-so-amusing homage perhaps to FidelRamos’ misplaced Colonel Sam Trautmann-ish fashion fetish ?
Equally disastrous was during his unbuttoned overcoat presentation as he was being formally received as an esteemed visiting head of state upon deplaning at Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow.
To my eyes, he had the disheveled appearance of a harried international traveller as opposed to a dignified state guest.

To my mind, Duterte’s clothing preferences are quite unbecoming of a popularly- elected public official occupying the highest office of the land representing the people of the Republic of the Philippines before international circles.
Regrettably, Duterte’s sartorial tastes are as CRUDE as his elocution.

It is imperative that the Office of the President appoint a superb haberdasher/politesse guru to wisely enlighten the President in addressing these very important matters.

On the other hand however, the President might have perceptively adopted this “subdued-profile tactic” so as not to distinguish himself sharply while reconnoitering a combat zone full of potential Washington-recruited enemy sniper teams who could attempt to reach out and touch him with supersonic jacketed lead projectiles.
Mr. Duterte’s cunning, a rather intelligent countermeasure against remotely-sited (removed)(removed)ins who are essentially trained to spot and prioritize striking high-value targets in their (removed)igned operating zones.

If this then was Duterte’s rationale for dumbing down his appearance to obscurity
while observing the Marawi front, I would have to emphatically say that Representative Gary C. Alejano and his US StateDepartment handlers were again hopelessly caught with their frisky thumbs up their stinking bifurcated (removed).
