The Real Winner On Pacquiao-Horn Match Revealed On WBO Review
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) review has revealed the real winner on the controversial Pacquiao-Horn Match, which was held last July 02, 2017.
On July 02, 2017, the controversial match between Pacman and Horn becomes the headlines of the news and articles in the social media. Boxing fans and analyst were not convinced on the judge’s decision that the Australian boxer won the match.
Jeff Horn won the match against Manny via unanimous decision, but most fans of Pacman concluded that the result of the fight was manipulated by the judges. They also cited that the referee favored Jeff Horn during the fight.
Previously, WBO president Paco Valcarcel has appointed five judges to review the controversial Pacquiao-Horn match. The result of the review shows that Horn was the rightful winner against the Filipino boxer.
Three out of the five judges scored (115-113, 114-113, and 114-113) in favor of Horn. One of the judges gives draw and the other one scored it for Pacquiao (114-113). WBO stated the Jeff Horn won the bout based on the analysis.
The review came after the Filipino boxing superstar issue his reaction to the WBO findings. “Let the people judge for themselves. The people saw what happened. We have seen worse judgments in the past where judges manipulated results. Nothing surprises me now,” said by Pacquiao quoted by Philstar.
The result of the Pacquiao-Horn match was similar to the controversial match between Pacman and the American boxer Timothy Bradley. The American boxer won the match by a controversial decision. The review of Pacquiao-Bradley match shows that the Filipino boxer won on all the five scorecards.
The WBO findings show that the Australian Horn won first six rounds and the 12th round. While Manny only won the five out of 12 rounds.
Pacman said that he is expecting for a rematch, but it should be in November when the Philippine Senate is on a break.
