Palawan Ranked As The World’s Best Island For 2017
The Travel + Leisure Magazine has ranked the tropical paradise of Palawan Island as the best island all around the world for 2017.
Palawan is an archipelagic province of the Philippines, which is located in the Mimaropa region. It is also the biggest province in the country and Puerto Princesa was its capital, but it is governed independently from the province.
Numerous wonders can be found on this island such as Tabon Caves, underground river in Puerto Princesa, Calauit Safari Park, Honda Bay, Coron Island, El Nido, Palawan wildlife rescue and conservation center, and other heritage sites.
Recently, Palawan ranked first in the Travel + Leisure Magazine list of World’s Best Island for 2017. The island gets the No. 1 spot for the third time after it landed first last year and in 2013.
Rebecca Ascher-Walsh writer in Travel + Leisure magazine has described the island of Palawan as an affordable, relaxing, rustic, and romantic place. She also wrote that the island was one of the most beautiful places in the world.
“There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in the natural wonders of this Philippine archipelago, which many of our readers described as ‘rustic,’ ‘romantic,’ ‘affordable’ and ‘relaxing.’ As one fan succinctly wrote, ‘it’s the single most beautiful place on earth,’” said by Walsh quoted by ABS-CBN.
