There are some speculations that Ejercito filed the petition for his daughter out of an ego boost. The TV personality responded and said that Andi was only playing out to be the victim in the situation.

On June 22, 2017, the ex-couple both agreed on the terms and agreement during the pre-trial of the case. The agreement made both Ejercito and Eigenmann happy, according to Ferdinand Topacio, the lawyer of Ejercito.

Topacio said that he could not reveal the specific details of the case, but when the ex-couple has already signed the agreement it will put them in peace. He also said that Judge Cesar Sulit receive Jake and Andi at the San Juan Regional Trial Court.
