Manny Pacquiao’s Trainer Freddie Roach Advised Him To Quit Boxing
Coach Freddie Roach is urging the Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao to retire from boxing after his painful defeat over Jeff Horn.
The historical boxing event between Manny Pacquiao and Australian Jeff Horn has been one of the most controversial matches after the three judges give the victory to the undefeated Australia boxer for WBO Welterweight title.
Waleska Roldan (117-111), Chris Flores (115-113), and Ramon Cerdan (115-113) in favor of Australian Horn. However, Manny was still open for a possible rematch with the undefeated boxer.
Pacman’s trainer Freddie Road advised the 38-year-old boxer to already quit boxing after being a professional boxer for 22 years. The world titles and unprecedented eight-weight divisions with a record of 59 wins, 7 losses, and 2 draws.
Three-time Australian world champion Jeff Fenech also urge Pacman to retire permanently this time for good.
He should go relax and enjoy the money he has made. He’s got nothing to prove. Retire. Jeff fought the right fight and took Manny to places he’d not been before … he made it a bit dirty,” said by Fenech quoted by GMA.
Fenech also cited that the Filipino boxer hasn’t knocked out an opponent for over eight years. He also said that Pacman only fought well on the first 3 rounds, but Horn desperately finished the fight badly wounded and with a shout right eye.
Jeff Sr., Horn’s father revealed that he was already prepared to throw a towel after the brutal ninth round after his son has been battered by the Pinoy legend. He dedn’t also expect that his so would come back and fought the way he fought Pacman in round 10 up to round 12.
