X-Factor UK Contestant Ivy Grace Paredes Joins “Tawag ng Tanghalan” On It’s Showtime
The 34-year-old Filipina Ivy Grace Paredes impressed the X-Factor UK judge during her audition and now a finalist of Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan”.
On Thursday (June 29, 2017), Ivy Grace Paredes secured her first competition after singing her own rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Run to You,” which was aired on “It’s Showtime” segment ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’.
The Filipina singer from Malaybalay, Bukidnon needs to win five more rounds in order to be qualified for the next stage. Paredes performance on Tawag ng Tanghalan was not her first time, in fact, she already joined the “X-Factor UK”.
On September 2016, Paredes impressed the judges from “X-Factor UK” including Judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. These judges commended Paredes for her version of Whitney Houston’s “All the Man that I Need.”
Paredes was forced to quit the British singing search after her US visa application was rejected. Her US visa was needed in order to film episodes in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, it was rejected.
The singer only proves that Filipinos have the skills and talents, which can compete internationally. The video of Paredes’ performance has already garnered over 67k views as of this writing.
