Mandaluyong City Police Recover Ammunitions, Gun Accessories Mixed With Donations For Marawi City

Mandaluyong City police recovered at least 159 bullets and gun accessories inside an eco-bag mixed with donations intended for Marawi City.

On Monday (June 26, 2017), a software engineer was sorting donations for Marawi City when he discovered an eco-bag containing bullets and gun parts, according to the Mandaluyong City Police Station.

The authorities explained that the software engineer discovered 59 pieces of .9mm pistol bullets, a .9mm single stock magazine, a gun holster, a pair of pistol hand grips, and a gun cleaning kit inside the eco-bag, which was marked as “Lito Grey”.

The ammunitions and gun accessories were found by the software engineer inside his condominium unit in Barangay Highway Hills at around 6 a.m in the morning on Monday.

The donations allegedly came from the office of certain AJ Salvani Cubarrubia, an employee of Pavillion Mall in the same village, according to the Mandaluyong City police.

The donations were intended to be delivered to Marawi City through a non-government organization called Edicute Inc. The organization was gathering and collecting donations for the people affected by the crisis in Marawi City.

The authorities were already conducting follow-up investigations regarding the recovered gun accessories and ammunitions.
