5-Year-Old Daughter Writes Letter for Dad Killed on Father’s Day

A 5-year-old girl named Polee wrote a letter for her dad who was killed on Sunday, June 18, Father’s Day.

“Happy Father’s day, Daddy. I love you. Thank you sa pag love ug pagsakripisyo Daddy. Love, Polee,” she wrote along with a heart and a drawing of a father and a daughter.

PFC Brian Buggay, who died during the Father’s Day, returned home inside a casket, days after the celebration of Father’s Day.

Buggay, a native of Camarines Norte was one of the members of 71st Infantry Batallion who were slain in an encounter with New People’s Army rebels in Maco, Compostella Valley.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ABS-CBN News, Jonna May, the wife of late Buggay said that she’s proud of her husband who passed away serving the country.

“Iyong asawa ko po is sobrang bait, concerned, charitable, marespeto,” she said.

“Kahit namatay po iyong asawa ko, at least alam kong nasa mabuting kalagayan siya, nasa Panginoon. At least nakatulong po siya sa bayan natin,” Jonna May added.

The report noted that the government will provide monetary support for Polee and Jonna May, including families of soldiers who were wounded or killed in the said encounter.
