Batangas town Mayor Leovino Hidalgo was shot dead by still unidentified gunman.
MAYOR – A town mayor from Batangas was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman morning of Saturday.
According to the news report by the Inquirer, the said mayor is the town mayor of Balete in Batangas.
Mayor Leovino Hidalgo was gunned down by a still yet unnamed and unidentified suspect.
The Batangas Police Information Officer Senior Inspector Hazel Luma-Ang, Mayor Leovino Hidalgo is currently the town head of Balete and was shot by the suspects on board in a white van in Barangay Poblacion around 10:30 in the morning.
He was rushed to the hospital, Metro Lipa Medical Center in Lipa, but eventually died on the way there.
Investigation was conducted by the authorities in order to find out who are the suspects and their motive in taking the life of the mayor.
