UP Retain Its Ranking On Top 400 Universities All Around The World

The University of the Philippines (UP) still remains on the top 400 universities all around the world and climbed 7 notches on annual rankings.

On the annual ranking of UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds, UP jumped from No. 374 last year up to No. 367 this year. UP was the only institution in the Philippines, which is among the list of top 400 universities worldwide.

3 other universities from the country were also made it be included on this year’s list aside from the University of the Philippines.

Top 400 Universities

Ateneo de Manila University fell to 551-600 bracket this 2017 from being in 501-550 ranking last year. The De La Salle University remained in the 701-750 bracket. The University of Santo Tomas dropped to 801-1000 from its 701+ ranking last 2016.

Harvard University ranked 4th and Stanford University ranked 3rd this year, while the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was able to retain their ranking at the top for 6 consecutive years.

The 11th spot was taken by Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and overwhelmed the National University of Singapore, which is only at the 15th spot. It is the highest-ranked Asian institution this 2017.

Quacquarelli Symonds has ranked about 950 universities from 84 various countries all around the world.
