He also became popular in big screen after starring on “Dekada ’70” in the year 2002, which earned him a Best Child Performer award during Metro Manila Film Festival.

He was last seen on TV via ABS-CBN defunct series, Forevermore starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.

However, John Wayne Sace’s career was placed on hiatus due to several personal issues.

On October 12, 2016, the former teen star and his friend identified as Erik Sabino accumulated injuries after a riding in tandem shot them in Pasig City.

According to the initial investigation, Sace and his friend were waiting for someone along Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue at exactly 11:10 p.m. when two unidentified suspects repeatedly fired at them. They were admitted to Rizal Medical Center.

The 27-year-old actor was hit by a lone bullet, injuring his waist, while Sabino died after accumulating multiple gunshot wounds.

Pasig City police confirmed that two are on the drugs watch list for allegedly selling illegal drugs.
