Abu Sayyaf Leader’s Nephews Absnir Kudarat, Staring Habibullah Nabbed In Silay City, Negros Occidental

Abu Sayyaf leader’s nephews Absnir Kudarat and Staring Habibullah were arrested by the authorities in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The authorities have arrested the suspects named the 28-year-old Absnir Kudarat and 24-year-old Staring Habibullah native of Jolo, Sulu and Isabela, Basilan. The suspects were arrested after allegedly pointing .45 c caliber pistol last Monday (May 15, 2017) in the northern part of Negros Occidental.

Kudarat also admitted that he was a former member of Abu Sayyaf since the year 1999 up to 2004. He also explained that he was the nephew of the Abu Sayyaf commander Aldam Tilao or alias Abu Sabaya.

Absnir has also declined his connection and involvement in the terrorist group called ASG. In 2004, he voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and the local government has already cleared his name.

The authorities found out that the suspects were temporarily residing at the residence of Kudarat’s live-in-partner in Negros Occidental for several months.

Kudarat also revealed that he’s accompanying his uncle when he was still active in the terrorist group in conducting their illegal activities in Mindanao. The suspects were now detained at the Silay City Police Station.
