A major cyber attack has been reported as it hit some countries of the world.
CYBER ATTACK – A massive cyber attack had hit the globe on Friday, May 12 which includes organizations of the countries Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Mexico.

As per the report of the The Philippine Star, a ‘major incident’ was announced by the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) which caused for some its hospitals to reroute their ambulance to neighboring hospitals and drop some of their operations.
And meanwhile on Spain, some of the major companies including the telecommunications giant Telefonica had a megaphone announcement to their employees to shut down their workstations immediately.
“Experiencing interference with some of our Windows-based systems caused by malware” is how would the FedEx of the United States would describe the incident.
British Prime Minister Theresa May even said that the malware could possibly affect other countries. May even said that the target is not the NHS. It was an international attack and a number of countries and organizations have been affected.
There were at least 16 organization that is within the NHS have been affected.
National Cyber Security Center and National Crime Agency of Britain said the incident is apparently caused by the malware called Wanna Decryptor.
Photos that were posted on social media shows NHS screens with images that demands a payment of $300 or 275 euros worth of the online currency Bitcoin, saying: “Ooops, your files have been encrypted!”
As mentioned on the report, it should be paid in 3 days or else it will be doubled or if nothing is received in 7 days, the file will be deleted.
A cyber warfare expert from Exeter University, Kubo Macak said that if “investigation shows that the cyber attack was directed by an outside state, it would amount to a violation of the UK’s sovereignty.”
NHS said said that the attack is not targeted on British health services alone for it had already affected organizations from across a range of sectors.
