Former PBA Player Dorian Peña Arrested in a Drug Buy-Bust Operation

Former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Dorian Peña was among who were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Namayan, Mandaluyong City.

The former PBA center was arrested by the agents of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Aside from Peña, a certain Jose Paolo Ampeso and Ledy Mea Vilchez were also arrested in the joint drug buy-bust operation.

Dorian Peña, who’s a member of PBA champ team San Miguel Beer from 2001-2011 denied his involvement with the two.

The 39-year-old ex-cager from Maryland, USA said he visited Ampeso who’s reportedly fixing his computer.

They are facing charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) No. 9165.

Sale of dangerous drugs, maintenance of a den, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of apparatus and other paraphernalia, use of dangerous drugs and conspiracy are among the charges filed before them by the the National Bureau of Investigation Task Force on Illegal Drugs (NBI-TFAID).

Authorities were also able to retrieve a sachet of Shabu with a street value of P5000.
