Iloilo Bar topnotcher Allana Mae Babayen-on explains how joining pageants has helped her to pass the 2016 Bar Examinations.
Allana Mae Babayen-on placed fourth in the 2016 Bar Examination due to her perseverance and determination. She was also a model, former beauty queen, and joining beauty pageants for the previous years.
The topnotcher from Iloilo said in an interview that the question-and-answer portion of a beauty pageant is quite similar in taking the Bar Examinations. She also explains that both demand resilience from a person.
“For example, dahil nandiyan ka sa stage, whatever ang itanong sa iyo o hindi pa tapos ang program, just go through it, Kagaya rin ‘yan sa Bar na kahit nakakapagod, you have to go through it and hopefully your efforts will be rewarded — like what happened to me,” said by Babayen-on quoted by ABS-CBN.
The former beauty queen is a graduate of University of San Agustin and becomes a part of a historic top 10. For the first time, universities in Metro Manila were overwhelmed by different colleges and universities from different regions nationwide.
Babayen-on couldn’t believe she placed fourth on the 2016 Bar Examinations with an average of 88.7500%, although her family and friends have great expectations from her. She also said that she was not affected by the pressure from others for she was already pressured by herself.
Allana went to Banate Central School on his elementary, Saint Paul- Barotac Nuevo on her high school, and West Visayas State University on her college taking up BS. In Political Science in 2009.
Presently, she was working as an employee of the Bids and Awards Committee in Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
