Kobe Paras Leaves Creighton University, Return To Philippines

Kobe Paras will return to the Philippines after parting ways with the Creighton University after just one season due to this reason.

Middlebrooks Basketball released an official statement regarding the request of the 6-foot-6 prodigy to leave Creighton University last week. The request of Paras has been granted after the university’s careful thought and consideration.

Paras personally thanks his coaches, fans, Creighton community, and the State of Nebraska for the love and support he received from them. He will return to the country before flying to Toronto, Canada for an event.

The young player will spend the month of May to spend time with family, friends, and evaluate new collegiate opportunities. He will also grant some interviews to media outlets in the next few weeks, but for now, he is currently completing his last semester at Creighton.

Media outlets could request an interview by dropping their message at [email protected].

Paras has only played 15 out of 35 games and saw limited minutes with the Bluejays. He averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds. He was a standout from De La Salle-Greenhill’s before playing for the United States.

De La Salle University will keep their doors open for Paras, according to La Salle Sports Development Executive Director Emmanuel Calanog.

“If plans do not work out there, La Salle will always welcome Kobe here and we are hopeful that he can also consider us among his choices. For now, we are happy for him and we want him to see his potentials developed there, and most especially for his education,” said by Canalog quoted by Canalog quoted by Philstar.
