Erwin Tulfo Rumored to Transfer Network After Resigning From News5’s Aksyon

Veteran broadcast journalist Erwin Tulfo is currently being rumored to transfer to another network after resigning from News5’s Aksyon.

Based on an article published by the Philippine Entertainment Portal, the 44-year-old report will be hosting the primetime news program of TV5, “Aksyon” until June only.

The report noted that he was supposed to have a temporary leave in the primetime newscast of the station, however, it resulted in his resignation.

Erwin Tulfo has been hosting the news program along News5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes for two years already. But he will still host radio program on “Radyo Singko,” the “Punto Asintado” which airs every morning.

According to a PEP source, Erwin Tulfo pique after downsizing his crew in the news department of TV5. Several cameramen and assistant cameramen were reportedly ousted and given early retirement.

This has been a purported reason why he did not renew his contract from Aksyon.

PEP asked a statement from the former ABS-CBN reporter through text. However, he is yet to respond from the query.

The entertainment site also asked a statement from the management of TV5 but the network is yet to issue any statement as of posting.
