Ace Hardware Merchandiser Resigns After Threatened By A Police Officer
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – A merchandiser of Ace Hardware in Iloilo resigns after accidentally hitting a police officer by a pushcart and receiving a threat from him.
Police officers are law enforcers, who are responsible for implementing the law and setting a good example for others. They were also tasked to use their authority to protect the people, abusing their power and authority have corresponding sanctions.
An unnamed employee of Ace Hardware, Iloilo Branch was forced to quit his job after accidentally hitting ICPO Director Sr. Supt. Remus Zacharias Canieso by a pushcart last Friday (April 06, 2017).
According to the report of RMN Iloilo, Canieso was accidentally struck by a pushcart handling by one of the Ace Hardware merchandisers. The employee has immediately apologized to Canieso, but the police officer keeps on shouting and cursing him.
Canieso has not yet contented and introduced himself as a police official. He also called the store manager in his office to report the incident and requested to terminate the employee who accidentally hit him.
The poor employee voluntarily files resignation and quit his job, due to fear of Canieso. The manager and Ace Hardware employees vehemently denied the incident.
Netizens slammed the arrogant police officer, who cruelly treated the employee regarding the incident.
