Vape Contains Toxic Chemicals Causing Lethal Lung Disease, Scientists Says

A group of Harvard scientists discovered that vape contains toxic chemicals, which can cause lethal lung disease and harmful for the body’s health.

Nowadays, most teenagers were using vape as an alternative to cigarette smoking. Many young people were claiming that vaping satisfy their urge of smoking without causing fatal damage to their body. But vaping increases the risk of developing a lethal disease known as ‘popcorn lung’.

A group of scientists from Harvard revealed the result of their recent study showing 75 percent of flavored electronic cigarettes contains toxic chemicals including Diacetyl, a chemical used as a butter substitute. This chemical was linked to a respiratory disease called as “Bronchiolitis Obliterans”.

Most people thought that vaping is safer rather than smoking, but it can still cause harm to the body. The United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health explained that inhaling this chemical for a long period of time can be harmful to the body.

Bronchiolitis Obliterans or popcorn lung is a fatal and lifetime health condition that resulted by obstruction of the smallest lung airways due to inflammation and lung damage.

Signs and symptoms such as wheezing, over fatigue, shortness of breath, dry cough, fever, weight loss, and night sweats may occur. There is still no solution discovered in treating this diseases, but there are treatments that can slow-down it’s further worsening.

Meanwhile, medical experts were still recommending all smokers to both stop cigarette smoking and using a vape, because of its negative impact on a person’s health. They were also conducting further regarding the other effects caused by vaping.
