Tricycle Driver ‘Jerry Lanang’ Who Has Debt In TODA Received Cash From Raffy Tulfo
Raffy Tulfo immediately gives cash to a tricycle driver named ‘Jerry Lanang’ who is in debt with TODA to get a certification on the renewal of registration for his passenger vehicle.
The radio newscaster Raffy Tulfo featured a certain tricycle driver in one of his radio programs in Radyo Singco 92.3 News FM. The tricycle driver Jerry Lanang was complaining against Jonny Rosal, president of BB TODA, who refuse to approve his renewal of vehicle registration.
Rosal declines to give the certification on the renewal of registration to Lanang, because of his long overdue debt in TODA since 2015. Lanang has a total debt of P6, 610 with the BB TODA and he needs to pay it first before the TODA president allows him to get his certification.
Mr. Lanang is a member of BB TODA in Cardona, Rizal and a father of five children. Lanang is supporting his college student, high school student, a 7-year-old child, toddler, and his youngest child is currently confined at the hospital.
The tricycle driver admitted he failed to settle his debts with the tricycle drivers association because of financial problems in their family. Lanang said he previously offer to pay P1, 000 and pay his remaining balance for installment, but Rosal reportedly refused to accept his offer.
TODA President said in a phone interview that Lanang must pay at least 3, 000 and pay his remaining balance for installment daily.

The radio host suddenly announced that he will shoulder the P3, 000 and give an additional amount of P300 for 1-month advance payment. “Sasagutin ko na ‘yung pang isang buwan mo na pa sampu sampung piso,” said by Tulfo.
Tulfo was impressed with Mr. Lanang’s determination to support his family in midst of difficulties without committing a crime just to earn money.
Mang Jerry burst into tears when Tulfo gave him an additional cash for the hospital bills of his son and for their daily expenses. Tulfo also accompanied the tricycle driver in renewing his registration in the municipal hall of Cardona Rizal and placed the registration sticker on his tricycle with a smile on his face.
