Jobert Sucaldito Facing Complaints Filed By Erik Santos, Erickson Raymundo
The Filipino singer Erik Santos and his manager Erickson Raymundo formally filed complaints against the entertainment columnist Jobert Sucaldito.
The columnist/radio host Jobert Sucaldito is now facing numerous complaints including libel filed by the singer/actor Erik Santos and founder/president of Cornerstone Entertainment Erickson Raymundo in Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday (March 30, 2017).
Previously, Sucaldito was accusing Santos of being a gay singer in one of his blind items and some Facebook posts last month. The radio host also claimed that Santos was being involved with lewd acts on a masseur.
Sucaldito’s posts caused social humiliation, mental anguish, sleepless nights, serious anxiety, besmirched reputation, and wounded feelings to the Santos. The singer refused to give reactions and comments to the social media after filing complaints against the radio host.
Also, Erickson Raymundo, manager of Santos and head of Cornerstone Entertainments said that Sucaldito defamed the name of his company by accusing being involved in questionable schemes, which allegedly robbed other artists.
Santos and his manager filed a total of 55 formal complaints against Sucaldito. 43 courts of cyber libel, 12 counts of grave threats, 2 counts of libel, and 1 count of slander. P24 million in charges was collectively seeking by Santos and Raymundo from the radio host. The radio host said that he was already preparing his counter affidavit.
Celebrities such as Jaya, K Brosas, Yeng Constantino, Nicco Manalo, Thor, Benj Manalo, and Sam Milby have supported Santos and Raymundo in filing the case against the columnist. Sucaldito also cried foul over those celebrities whom he considered as his family has supported the complaints against him.
