Robredo Camp Respond To Duterte’s Allegations: VP Robredo No Plans To Claim Presidency

Georgina Hernandez, Robredo’s spokesperson said that the vice president has no plans to claim the presidency in response to Duterte’s allegations.

Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte accused Vice President Leni Robredo of conniving with his rivals in order to claim the country’s highest position. Aside from this issue, Robredo recently facing numerous issues and controversies including Leni leaks.

Georgina Hernandez, the spokesperson of VP Robredo defend the vice president from the accusations of Mr. Duterte, which has no enough evidence and basis. She also said that Robredo has no plans to be the new president of the Philippines.

“Siyempre, entitled naman ang Pangulo natin na sabihin kung anong mga naiisip niya. Pero sana po ay tingnan din kung saan nanggagaling dahil wala naman po talagang ganoong plano. At hindi po nag-aapura si VP Leni sa anuman,” said by Hernandez quoted by ABS-CBN.

President Duterte said before his flight to Myanmar that it would not be a surprise for him anymore if Robredo had a hand in the impeachment complaint filed against him by Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano.

Mr. Duterte also told the Filipino community in Myanmar that his rival Leni Robredo was very eager to claim the country’s highest position.

Robredo was accusing President Duterte of violating the Human Rights law for his bloody anti-illegal drug campaign amid Extrajudicial Killings (EJK), which allegedly killed more than 7, 000 people in the country.

House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez accused Robredo of rushing the impeachment of President Duterte from the presidency. Alvarez said that he might possibly be doing this because she fears that Supreme Court might order to recount the votes for the vice presidential slot.
