There are millions of Filipino college students who will finish their studies this month, here are the top-paying job waiting for the fresh graduates.

March is the month were students celebrating their graduation day after many years of enduring hardships in school. After graduation, fresh graduates will immediately seek for a job related to the course they have finished.

Jobstreet 2017 report shows the highest paying jobs waiting for the graduating college students and also for the job seekers out there. The report said that fresh graduates working in healthcare-related industries, journalism, and law have the highest monthly salary.

On Wednesday (March 15, 2017), Philip Gioca, manager of Jobstreet Philippines presented a survey taken from a total of 644 fresh graduate respondents. The highest paying jobs in the report was based on the average monthly salaries paid to fresh graduates.

Here are the top paying jobs for new graduates:

  1. Law/Legal Services – P27, 124
  2. Healthcare-Related – P23, 216
  3. Journalism – P21, 777
  4. IT-Related – P21, 703
  5. Education – P21, 457
  6. Actuarial Science – P21, 048
  7. Training and Development – P20, 838
  8. Banking/Financial Services – P20, 092
  9. Public Relations – P20, 055
  10. Advertising/Media Planning – P19, 960

The salaries for the law, healthcare, and journalism have increased since 2015, while IT-related jobs have decreased, according to Jobstreet.

Jobstreet also conducted a survey of employers asking of which school do best graduates came from. The employers ranked UP as 1st, PUP as 2nd, and Ateneo de Manila as 3rd.

Gioca said that the school where graduates came from doesn’t matter because the industries are so diverse. Their survey also found that some industries prefer to hire experienced employees rather than fresh graduates.

The attitude, field of study, and asking salary were the 3 main factors, which affect the chances of fresh graduates of getting hired on a certain job.
