Actor Jake Cuenca Hit By Truck While Biking At MOA
On Tuesday (March 14, 2017), the actor Jake Cuenca was rushed to the hospital after involved in an accident at Mall of Asia grounds while biking.
Juanto Cuenca, father of the actor Jake Cuenca said in a statement that his son was biking at the vicinity of the Mall of Asia (MOA) for his training on Ironman 70.3 (Triathlon Race), when a truck suddenly breaks and stopped on Jake’s path, which he had no time to use his break anymore so he accidentally hit the truck.
Mr. Cuenca said that the actor was quickly rushed to the hospital by his driver for immediate treatment and medication. Jake was currently confined in Medical City after suffering from two broken bones on hand and stitches in his chin.
“Yung driver niya mismo [ang nagdala sa kanya sa ospital] because there were no ambulances on site. Sa Medical City, that’s where he is now. Meron siyang two broken bones on the hand. He had to have stitches in his chin. They are still continuing with the tests kung ano pa ang damage sa kanya,” said by Juanto Cuenca quoted by ABS-CBN.
Jake was conscious when the doctors were treating him and complaining suffering a lot of pain, according to his father. The actor has been already discharged from the hospital, but he is scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday (March 17, 2017) for his two broken bones on his hand.
