Netizens praise a street kid for his effort to buy a cake for his sibling.
Manila Philippines – Red Ribbon crew earned praises from netizens for helping a street kid buy a cake for his sibling’s birthday.
A certain Facebook user named as Ken Ken took to social media and shared her encounter with an unnamed street kid who entered a Red Ribbon cake shop somewhere in Metro Manila.
According to her Facebook post, the kid was barefoot when he entered the store. She saw the kid and asked the guard to check on the boy as he might be up to no good.
They were surprised when the kid said that he was there to buy a cake. The boy then picked one of the cakes that cost Php500, but he only has P300.
Ken Ken then asked the kid to whom he will give the cake. The boy answered with an unexpected response.
“Sa kapatid ko,” the kid said.
The boy shared that he went out the extra early that day to ask for alms so he could buy his sibling a cake.
Because his money is not enough for the bigger cake, the little boy decided to purchase the smaller one instead. But it was still expensive for him because the smaller one costs Php 310.
Ken Ken was touched and decided to help the boy and said she will give him the Php10 he needed to buy the cake for his sibling’s birthday.
Ken Ken later shared his post on her Facebook account, praising the kid for being such a thoughtful siblings despite them not having money.
Her Facebook post has caught the attention of the netizens on social media. Many social media users praise her for being kind to the street kid and not turning him away. Other netizens were amazed at the kid’s effort to buy the cake for his brother.
