A video of 3-year-old Filipina being born with no arms and legs has caught the attention of the world.
Adrianne Stewart shared a home video of her little girl’s long journey on Facebook with a caption “Special needs adoption has changed our family forever.”
Now, the video is widely circulating on the social media as thousands of people watch the journey of the little girl.
Marias Stewart’s journey began at the Chosen Children Village in Cavite, where she was first spotted by the Stewarts.
According to a report of CBN news, Stewart contacted an adoption agency in search of a child in need of a home. Maria was six-month-old when an adoption agency sent her pictures.
Adrianne and her husband instantly fell in love with Maria.
“We knew we had to adopt her,” Stewart said.
October 2015, Stewart family finally met their little girl. Nearly a year and a half after her adoption, Maria now attends preschool and works with physical therapy, speech, and occupational therapy trainers once a month.
Stewart admits they took a “leap of faith” with Maria, but after everything just works out their faith paid off.
Maria is the fourth child of the Stewarts, they already had three children: Two girls, ages 11 and 13, and a boy, age 6 who was also adopted from the Philippines.
Stewart revealed that they weren’t originally planning on sharing Maria’s story to the world, but they are hoping to inspire others to adopt a child in need.
