Mayor in Siquijor driving recklessly in town’s market caught on video.
Netizen took to social media and air his complaints against the mayor of Lazi Siquijor for physical injury and reckless driving around the town market.
Facebook user Tashi Joemar Zangpo shared the video showing a white pickup truck who was driving recklessly around the public market has caught the attention of the netizens.
In a Facebook post by Zangpo, he revealed that the driver of the pickup was the Mayor of the town.
Zangpo wrote in his post that he shared the video because the mayor was driving so fast and he might kill somebody for over speeding.
In the beginning of the video, the white pickup was driving so fast. A few seconds later, the car p(–foul word(s) removed–) again and stop into the side of the town’s public market.
People can be seen on the video shouting and moving away to safety after the impact. It was unclear if the pickup hit someone.
The video showed that a guy in white shirt immediately approached the mayor’s car. The driver alighted from his car and confronted the video uploader and then the video went dead.
Based on the comments of the netizens, the mayor allegedly circled around the town market while driving recklessly.
In a Facebook post of Zangpo, he narrated what really happened in the incident.
The mayor caught him recording the incident and attempted to confiscate his phone. The mayor was so mad and allegedly grabbed him. The video uploader said that he tried to fight back but someone behind him slapped him for taking the video of the incident.
As of writing, the video gained the thousands of views after it has been shared by netizens who were not only shocked but were also angry with the unacceptable behavior of the driver in the video.
Netizens who saw the video were quick to express their reactions.
“Tashi Joemar Zangpo call 888 or 911… if you have ABS-CBN or GMA media reporter contacts… let them go to your place now to cover the post incident… cla din magiging proteksyon mo… Ask for the provincial police office numbers and the governor and congressman kung di nya kaalyansa baka makatulong, ” netizen said.
Netizens were concerned for the safety and of Zangpo and told him to take extra steps in securing his safety.
