An Overseas Filipino Worker in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates reveals on social media account the abuse that she suffered from her Jordanian husband.
In her social media account, Mary Ann Batulanon exposed her husband’s alleged maltreatment for the past several years.
The 30-year-old Pinay worker said that she suffered so much at the hands of her sadistic husband and pleading him to divorce her.
“I suffer for so many years. Please. Mahmoud Abuhalawa, divorce me,” Mary Ann wrote.
According to the report of Khaleej Times, Mary Ann works as a receptionist in a car showroom and married to Abuhalawa in 2012, who works in a bank.
This has been going on for many years. He beats me up black and blue without any mercy. I cannot take it anymore,” She told Khaleej Times.
Mary Ann told Khaleej Times that she already filed a divorce and sole custody of their 4-year old daughter, but the case is pending at the Abu Dhabi Family Court.
Her husband, however, denied Batulanon’s accusations.
“It is not true. She hurts herself everytime and goes to the court to a case against me,” said by Abuhalawa.
“But if she slanders my name in social media, I will take legal action against her.” he added.
He said he is willing to give her divorce but threatens to take legal actions against Mary Ann if she slanders his name on social media.

“All I want from him is a divorce. He should pay for my daughters’ maintenance. I took to social media so that the world knows what he is doing to me,” Mary Ann said.
