LPU Alumna accuses former Dean of Harassment.
Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) is in hot water after mishandling the case of sexual harassment involving one of its former dean to a Lyceum alumna.
The issue went viral after an alumna of LPU shared the detailed incident of harassment on Facebook.
KV Rojas, an International Relations Graduate of LPU took to her Facebook account and shared that she was sexually harassed by a former dean.
Rojas posted on her social media account last February 5 the details of the incident. In her post, she did not name her perpetrator, but LPU, in its statement, revealed that it was LPU College of International Relations former Dean and Ambassador Reynaldo Arcilla.
In a lengthy Facebook post of Rojas, she wrote that she had a meeting with the former Dean last December 2, 2016, to ask for the recommendation letter for graduate school requirements.

Based on her post, she experienced harassment during her meeting with the former dean.
The dean offered to drive her home to which she agreed in good faith. During that time it was when Arcilla demonstrated acts of sexual harassment by giving, malicious comments, touching her lips and blackmailing Rojas that he will not issue her recommendation letter if she will not kiss him.
Rojas decided to report the incident to LPU last December 5, 2017.
In a separate post, Rojas narrated how the university handled her complaint and expressed her disappointments in her alma mater for failing to give due justice to her case.
On, January 16, 2017, the Human Resources Director of LPU informed Rojas that they are unable to act any further on the case because Arcillas was no longer under their regulation.
“Amb has resigned effective today Jan 16 and we accepted his resignation so he is no longer under the employ of LPU, Sorry but we have no control of or cannot force him to admit on sexual harassment you stated. Thank you.”
