Legless traffic enforcer in Cebu City has gone viral on social media.
A man with no legs was seen in Cebu City managing the traffic has caught the attention of the Pinoy online community.
According to a report of ABS-CBN News reporter Leleth Rumaguera, the man with no legs was seen managing the traffic in Cebu City.
Reports said Rumaguera was able to filmed Borces while his job wearing a traffic aide’s vest and armed with a whistle and a reflective glove, manages traffic in a private school in Cebu City.
The 58-year-old man finds joy in helping others and did not mind the heat and the pay of P300 he gets by the end of the week.
According to Rumaguera, Borces works in two shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. He travels to work using his improvised tricycle, which he can operate using his arms.
It was also reported that the legless traffic aid lives alone, though he has relatives around, he said he prefers to have his own place and earning an honest living that without depending on his relatives.
Borces vowed to continue working as a traffic aid as long as he is healthy.
The 58-year-old man proves that having a disability is not a hindrance from making an honest living.
