Maxine Medina Tells Critics: ‘Well, Let’s Move On. It’s Already Done’

Miss Philippines Maxine Medina says she has no regret with her performance in Miss Universe pageant.

Philippine bet Maxine Medina has a response to all her critics after the 65th Miss Universe Pageant that was held in the Philippines.

The Pinay beauty queen shared her thoughts about the results of the Miss Universe Pageant.

In her recent interview with ABS-CBN, Medina shared that she gave her 101 percent best during the competition. She is happy and no regrets with her performance, saying she did her best she could to make the country proud.

Maxine was also thankful that she made it to the top 6 of the pageant.

“I’m good. I’m happy na at least nakapasok tayo sa Top 6. I did my best. Thank you so much sa lahat ng mga Pilipinong sumuporta sa akin. Hindi kayo bumitaw,” she said.

Maxine has an advised to all the Filipinos who were not happy with her performance during the question and answer portion of the Miss Universe competition by saying, “Well, let’s move on. It’s already done. Let’s have fun. At least top 6 and Miss Universe happened here in the Philippines. It’s history,” she said.

Miss Philippines Maxine Medina became the center of the controversy in the Philippines after netizens react on her answer on the Q&A portion of Miss Universe.

Medina became the first Filipino beauty queen who uses an interpreter in the International pageant. She would have been the first Pinay beauty queen to speak Filipino like how Latin girls spoke Spanish in the competition. But Medina chose to answer the question by using the English language.

Host Steve Harvey asked Medina during the Q&A portion of Miss Universe: “What is the most significant change you’ve seen in the world in the last 10 years?”

“In the last 10 years of being here in the world, I saw all the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe. It’s something big to us that we are one. As one nation, we are all together. Thank you. Maraming Salamat po,” she answered.

Her answer led to some criticism by people who felt that she should have used the Filipino language and used her interpreter for her answer.

Medina’s journey in Miss Universe pageant ended after she failed to make it to the Top 3 finalist of the pageant. She also unsuccessful of her goal to have a back-to-back Miss Universe titles for the Philippines after Pia Wurtzbach.
