Officials of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) issued an official statement that explains the death of a pregnant woman in Bacolod City.
In a recent Facebook post of The Visayan Daily Star, they share the official statement of CLMMRH expressing their sympathy to the family of a 21-year-old woman who died at the hospital on January 17.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the statement of the hospital said that they are facing several issues with regard to the for alleged negligence of its staff leading to the death of a woman pregnant with twins.
“We are an institution committed to giving compassionate health services to our patients and the death of Ms. Geronca and her twin babies is way beyond the intention of the hospital,” the statement said.

Dr. Julius Drilon, CLMMRH chief, said the hospital management would face any investigation since no negligence was committed.
Furthermore, Sen. Risa Hontiveros seek probe of the death of a pregnant woman with her twins in Bacolod City.
According to the report, Honteveros has asked the Department of Health to investigate a hospital in Bacolod City for alleged negligence of its staff leading to the death of a woman pregnant with twins.
The senator expressed alarm over the growing number of medical negligence cases in the country.
The family Geronca a 21-year-old woman, pregnant with twins, who died at the hospital on January 17, 2017 has sought the help of the NBI in investigating the cause of her death.
The National Bureau of Investigation was already taking some investigation to determine what really happened to Mary Joy Geronca, 21.
