Pinoy Lakers Fan wins $95K after hitting lakers half court!
A Filipino-American Lakers fan became an instant millionaire after hitting a half-court shot during a break in action to earn a cool $95,000, or over P4.7 million.
Jerald Acoba, 30, Filipino descent who is now based in Tulare, California, caught the attention of the world after winning a cash worth almost a whopping P5 million ($95,000).
In a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, Acoba was the fifth winner of the Aria Big Shot Jackpot since the event started during the 2006-2007 NBA season.
The Pinoy Lakers fan hit the shot in between the third and fourth quarters of the game. He became an instant millionaire after he won the jackpot prize.
In an interview with Acoba, he said that he was not only happy because he won the cash prize but also lucky as he get to celebrate his victory with his favorite Basketball team.
When he was asked what he will do with the cash, Acoba said: “I’m gonna buy my mom a car.”
The amazing moment happened during the Los Angeles Lakers’ winning game against the Memphis Grizzlies at the Staples Center on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Acoba took to social media to express his happiness after winning the jackpot prize. Acoba posted a photo on his Instagram account @clymax_mishi9 with the huge Big Shot Jackpot cheque.
He wrote in the caption:

Acoba was the second winner for this season after Travis Milne of Santa Maria, California made the halfcourt shot and won $35,000 in November.
In the game, Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 116-102, to snap a three-game losing streak.
