Low-Cost Indonesian Airline Fires Totally Drunk Pilot.
Shocking CCTV footage showing a drunk pilot stumbling through the security before being fired when he ‘tried to fly a plane with 154 passengers on board.’
In a recent news report of dailymail.co.uk, the drunk pilot was identified as captain Tekada Purna.
Tekada was the pilot of PT Citilink Airlines, an Indonesian discount airline. The incident happened on the Citilink flight from Surabaya to Jakarta in Indonesia.
The disturbing CCTV footage featuring the drunk pilot was widely circulated on the social media.

The intense video shows that the unsteady pilot wearing a dark sungl(–foul word(s) removed–) was going through security. He is trying to walk normal but he failed, as he can be seen stumbling in his way.

He repeatedly dropped his belongingness as he went stumbling through security. The pilot then walks free to board his plane.
One of the passengers of the plane shared a video of the alleged incoherent announcement online which shows people onboard the plane looking confused.
The drunk Pilot can be seen trying to convince other staff members (in slurred speech) that he was able to the operate the plane and fly and he nearly succeeded.
After an ‘incoherent announcement,’ some of the shocked passengers on the plane walked off.
He was reportedly scheduled to fly an Airbus A320 from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to the capital city of Jakarta.
The video caused the alarm in Indonesia. As the shocking video shows the “physically unfit” pilot trying to operate a plane with 154 passengers on board.
The airline made some conformations and said that the pilot had appeared ‘physically unfit.’
Citilink’s president director Albert Burhan said, in a statement:
“Citilink is very serious about handling this matter. The pilot in question has been suspended until the ongoing investigation is completed,” he said.
The incident was brought up by Indonesia’s House of Representatives.
“If that’s true, a pilot’s license revoked pending a medical examination,” Chairman of Commission V of the House, Ferry Djemi Francis, told reporters.
According to the report, the pilot was suspended and resigned two days after the incident.
