Puerto Rico is the new Miss World 2016!
Puerto Rico’s Stephanie del Valle was crowned as the new Miss World 2016. She was crowned at the MGM National Harbor resort in the United States.
Philippines bet Catriona Grey made it to the top 5 of the competition.

Miss World 2016: Puerto Rico, Stephanie del Valle
Puerto Rico was crowned on December 18 at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland, United States.
Catriona Grey made it to advanced to the finals, along with Kenya’s Evelyn Njambi Thungu.
Grey won one of the pre-pageant challenges, Multimedia and automatically won a spot in the Top 20.
According to a report of ABS-CBN news, during the question and answer portion, Catriona was asked about which qualities does she think should the next Miss World winner possess.
For her answer, Gray responded: “I think first of all it takes bravery. To be a Miss World is to carry a burning torch. It is like action carried out by one to illuminate the lives of many. I would dedicate my whole self, my love for the arts and my voice to trying to uplift, empower and educate people. It would be my greatest honor and duty to hold this torch high enough so that all the world could feel and see its light.”
The prestigious pageant was hosted by the former Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Jason Cook.
